Packing.....

Well....we are moving! I am spending the day packing....well at least not right at this moment. Mom took Maren for the day so I could actually get things done! We put our home on the market, four days later we got an offer, and it is sold! We have no idea where our home is located....we are moving in with my parents. I am so thankful for them....they are giving us such a great gift by allowing us to be in their home. This will then allow us to find the right home for us as opposed to just finding a house to find a house. My prayer is that Dave and I will find the home that the Lord wants to use us for His greater glory. To find a community that we can serve and where we can be served! I am so excited to see where we will land here in this great Kansas City!

It is so fun to be driving down the road....looking back and seeing my gorgeous girl looking right back at me! She is now a big 1 year old and can face forward:)

Maren Meets Santa

Dave and I took Maren to meet the man himself.....Santa Claus! She was quite inquisitive at first and then had a great time! Merry Christmas!

Crawling, Clapping and some Turkey

Below is the latest and greatest from our fam these last few months. I know that it has been a LONG while since I have updated this blog...in fact, I am not quite sure if anyone reads my blog anymore. But I hope that you enjoy learning how we have grown. This last Thanksgiving was so awesome! Our first Thanksgiving with Maren as a family! We feel so blessed to have her in our lives. She is the greatest gift anyone could ask for. She knows how to make your day better just by her giggles, her clapping her hands for no particular reason at all, the smile she gives you when you get her up from her naps! She is a gift....I have to admit.....I am quite smitten! She is the love of my life! Now she is moving all over this house! She is quite the explorer and adventurer. She will take all the obstacles to get from point A to point B. I love that about her. It makes me think that she is not afraid of a challenge....that she doesn't always need to take the easy road. That will help her navigate through this thing called life....there isn't an easy road. I can't wait to see how God develops all these little things about her! I am blessed!

Crazy For You

This fall I had the awesome opportunity to be apart of the Jewish Community Center's Production of "Crazy For You". I played the funny Patricia Fodor. It was such a blessing to my soul! I love being at home with Maren and know that is where God has called me.....but I also know that God has gifted me in many other ways too. It was such a blessing to use those gifts...get out of the house and be among other like minded folks! I was blessed.....so blessed that I am also in the next two shows! I know that each night when I come home from rehearsals or from performing and look at my baby girl sleeping that I will be a better mom the next day for the opportunity to fill my soul! I couldn't do this without my awesome husband and the support of my family!

Solid Foods, Teeth, and the Park Swing

This summer into fall was full of big changes! Maren learned to roll over, put her hand up to say hi to someone, smile big for the camera, grow some teeth, and her favorite thing ever....SWING! We would go to the park almost every day of the week to get her swing time in....she loves it! I couldn't think of a better little chica to spend my days with! I am so blessed to be at home to watch all of her new discoveries for the first time!

Minnesota

In July Dave, Maren and I took our first family trip to Minnesota. Dave's cousin was getting married up there at the lake so we made a trip out of it. Maren loved the airplane and was a great little traveler! Our first stop was Minneapolis to visit my friend Stacia, her hubby Travis, daughter Lauren, and little babe on the way:) We had a great time! Then we traveled on up to the lake where we had the best time! The weather was gorgeous and Maren loved being on the water!
